Janelle's Fabulous Spaghetti and
meat sauce
1 Can of Prego Traditional Spaghetti Sauce
2 Cans of tomato sauce no particular brand
1 can of stewed tomatoes (make sure to get the Italian flavor not the
Spanish style)
1 Large green bell pepper
1 Large yellow onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 pound of lean ground beef browned and strained of all grease
1 teaspoon sugar
8 medium sized mushrooms
1 celery stalk
1 teaspoon olive oil
oregano
basil
garlic powder
salt
pepper
Directions:
Chop all of your vegetables and put them in a skillet on medium with
one teaspoon of olive oil. Brown the vegetables until they are all soft.
Combine all of your tomato sauces (etc.) into a large crock pot and
turn heat to high.
Add the vegetables into the crock pot.
Brown your hamburger in same skillet used for vegetables.
Drain grease from skillet and add beef to the tomatoes.
Season to taste with: Italian Seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper,
oregano, and basil.
Let cook on high for about and hour and then reduce heat to medium and
cook for another hour.
Prepare your pasta. I usually use thin Spaghetti but you can really put
it on anything you want.
