Pasta Roma

2 Tbs. butter
2 Tbs. olive oil
3 slices thick sliced bacon, cut into pieces

Brown bacon in oil and butter then add 1 large onion
chopped, 1 large clove of garlic minced-sauté until onion is soft.
Add (2) 28oz. cans of Italian Plum tomatoes that have been chopped up.
Add 1 Tbs. of sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Then add 1 tsp. of crushed
red pepper flakes. Simmer slowly for one hour. Best if made the day
before and refrigerated. Cook spaghetti, plate individual plates of
pasta and spoon sauce over and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
