Linguini with clam sauce and flavored bread crumbs:
1 lb. linguini pasta (cooked al dente)
four 6.5 oz. cans minced clams (including juice)
1 can water or white wine
3/4 cup Italian flavored bread crumbs
2 tbs. olive oil
In a small sauté pan heat the olive oil and add the bread crumbs.
Brown slightly.
In a small sauce pan heat the clams and juice and water (or wine) -
cook for 6 minutes.
In a large serving dish add the linguini and pour the clam mixture
over. Mix well. Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the pasta mixture and
serve immediately.
This recipe will generously serve 2-3 hungry guests.
