Chocolate Syrup Cake
Cake:
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
1 cup
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
1 16 ounce can chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Icing:
1 stick margarine
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cake: Cream together 1 stick margarine and sugar. Add the eggs and
blend well. Add the remaining cake ingredients and mix with an electric mixer
for three minutes. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake for 30 minutes.
Icing: On the stovetop, boil together the milk, sugar, and margarine.
Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and blended. Pour icing over
the hot cake
Makes 20 servings.
